Building Science Basics Package - $250 per individual ($435 Value)
Coursework included:
- HERS Associate: This five-part online course reviews building science principles as they relate to the Performance Path option in the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). This course will introduce RESNET and the HERS Index and relate the principles of building science as they apply to HERS.
- Houses That Work: This course will address critical home performance elements that exist as a system and are part of energy efficient homes. It outlines the building science physics of air, heat and moisture flow that every builder should know so they can understand why some buildings work and others don't.
- High Performance Mechanicals: This course will first review the key building science concepts that have changed the way houses are built and identify the relevant changes to mechanical systems. The remainder of the course will focus on the proper sizing and selection of appropriate mechanical equipment for high performance ever lower load homes.
- Site Supervisor: This course covers how the knowledge, processes, and best practices gained from building science apply to site supervisors for residential construction projects.

Coursework included:
- How to Cost Effectively Build Zero Energy Homes: This course will focus on design principles, equipment options, emerging technologies, material selections, and construction practices that can be integrated into their building process. Strong emphasis is placed on ways to make the final product affordable for homebuyers. Sales and marketing ideas are also presented.

Net Zero Carbon Building Professional: The primary goal of this course is to empower designers, builders and building industry supply partners, to make practical and affordable choices that reduce the overall carbon footprint of new home construction. Case studies will be reviewed for different climate zones and house styles to demonstrate the impact cost-effective decisions can have.
